In the following months, several artists collaborated with reggaeton superstars like Drake and Bad Bunny with MIA (2018), Madonna and Maluma together with Medellin 2019. The gradual mainstreaming of reggaeton became a concern for some performers during the year the year 2020. Rauw alejandro and a young generation, however, determined to maintain the style. The genre often included elements of electronic dance music and other styles.
